SUSTAINABILITY AND CERTIFICATIONS
Vivenza Caffè Speciale adopts sustainable development as a guideline in all its productive system, following ecologically correct, socially fair and culturally accepted practices, respecting the Cerrado Mineiro biome and the common good.
Following this perspective, the production areas observe the environmental norms applicable to the region, including the allocation of a legal reserve area greater than that required by law; protection and increase of permanent preservation areas; protection of the fauna and flora of the Cerrado ecosystem and integrity of the sources and water courses in the property.
The modern coffee processing complex allows the recycling of the water used in the process, as well as the use of the coffee pulp and its husk in composting, as a source of natural fertilizer.
The Vivenza Caffè Speciale Group provides appropriate working conditions and is oriented to promote the health and safety of their employees. There is also an equal concern to improve general environmental conditions of work, to favor social integration and to promote the participation of their employees in training and capacity-building for the development of the capacities of each one, in their personal and professional sphere.
We also seek to share our knowledge and good practices with small farmers around us, so that the principles of sustainability are applied throughout the region.
The commitment to the best practices of responsible management and production, with sustainability and socio-environmental responsibility, has international recognition. The production areas of the Vivenza Caffè Speciale are certified by the Rainforest Alliance Certified, following a set of rules developed by the Sustainable Agriculture Network (RAS), composed of international conservationist and independent organizations that aim to define correct agricultural practices that cause less environmental impacts.
The achievement of the Rainforest Alliance Certified Certification greatly prides us and encourages our company to strengthen the structured tripod in environmental protection, social equity and economic viability of the activity.
Vivenza Caffè Speciale also integrates the Nespresso Triple AAA Sustainable Quality ™ Program, developed by Nespresso in conjunction with the Rainforest Alliance, to achieve a shared goal of creating a sustainable supply of the highest quality coffee and improving the situation for coffee farmers and their communities. Sustainability is the central element of this collaboration. We are proud to be part of this program.
