OUR STORY

Vivenza Caffè Speciale began its trajectory more than 20 years ago, precisely in 1998, when Antonio and Lindalva Vivenza bought the first lands in the municipality of Campos Altos, Minas Gerais, Cerrado Mineiro Region — recognized worldwide for the excellent quality of its coffees.

The history of the family in the coffee industry, however, is older, since in the mid-1940s, in the south of Minas Gerais, Lindalva‘s family already produced Arabica beans on farms that bordered the Grande River. At that time, Lindalva’s grandparents produced coffee in that area, having started production in the late nineteenth century. Due to the construction of the Furnas hydroelectric power plant, the family lands were flooded and the coffee plantations were extinguished. A lot of time went by, but the coffee culture remained rooted in the family.

Decades later, Antonio and Lindalva Vivenza decided to invest in the Arabica coffee production in the Cerrado Mineiro Region. Antonio Vivenza, an Italian immigrant, fell in love with coffee growing in Brazil and was responsible for the introduction of different varieties of Arabica coffee in the Cerrado Region. Later, new areas were acquired, especially in locations with favorable and unique topography, altitude and climate, which allows the perfect terroir for the production of high-quality grains and obtaining specialty coffees.

With all these favorable natural factors, added to the passion and determination of the family, it was a matter of time for the Vivenza Caffè Speciale to reap the rewards of success.

Our coffee plantations are divided in 6 different production areas, which allows us to obtain coffees with different qualities and that compose unique blends. Currently, Vivenza Caffè Speciale is led by the children of the couple, Piero, Stefano and Paolo, symbolizing a new generation who expands production with quality and sustainability, combining the family tradition with modernity, always in search of excellence in the offered product.
